Calling all members of the Central Ohio Irish Community — come join your friends and fellow Irish in the 16th Annual Irish Community Pride Procession Friday, Aug. 3 at the 2018 Dublin Irish Festival
The parade is open to you and all Irish groups and organizations. The short parade will process through the grounds of the Dublin Irish Festival.
We encourage all officers and members from the Irish organizations, dance schools, cultural groups, etc., to come join the parade and march with your group and show festival-goers your Irish pride.
The parade steps off from the festival grounds' East Gate at Emerald Parkway and Coffman Park Dive. This is back to the usual staging area for the parade – the gate closest to Dublin City Hall.
Irish festival organizers have given us a time slot on the Trinity Stage adjacent to the stone pavilion so each participating group can be recognized when the procession ends.
We ask that all those participating try to arrive not later than 5:45 p.m. The festival opens at 4 p.m. Every festival participant and patron MUST have a ticket or they will not be permitted to enter the grounds. This holds true for all volunteers, musicians, performers, vendors and even event-organizers.
Friday, Aug. 3 only: volunteers helping with the Dublin Irish Festival Parade will be distributing FREE tickets at the NORTH GATE, closest to the Dublin Stage, from 4:30-5:20 pm and the EAST GATE, from 4:20-5:40 pm. Look for people with signs that say «IRISH PARADE.»
Also, please be advised EVERYONE must go through a security checkpoint so please arrive as early as possible. Free shuttle buses will be running from numerous remote parking lots and free parking will also be available in business lots along Emerald Parkway.
