TICKETING INFORMATION AND LINK TO BE RELEASED SOON

On Thursday, April 26, 2018, #1 New York Times bestselling and Pulitzer Prize winning author Elizabeth Strout will visit Bexley as the featured guest for Bexley Public Library’s Bexley Community Author Series. After a sold-out event in 2017 with Colson Whitehead, Bexley Public Library looks forward to once again welcoming readers from all over Central Ohio and beyond to be inspired by this award-winning and celebrated author. Ms. Strout’s talk will take place in Capital University’s Mees Hall at 7:00 p.m., with a book signing to follow. Tickets will be available soon for purchase. To share this exciting program with the next generation, students with a valid student ID will have the opportunity to reserve a free ticket for the event.

In this special evening event, Elizabeth Strout will reflect both on her most recent works and her writing process, followed by a Q&A. Her latest book, Anything is Possible, was released in May 2017 and quickly joined the New York Times Bestseller list. It recalls the structure and complexity of her Pulitzer Prize-winning novel Olive Kitteridge while returning to the unforgettable cast of characters in the bestselling My Name is Lucy Barton. The Washington Post wrote, “These stories return Strout to the core of what she does more magnanimously than anyone else, which is to render quiet portraits of the indignities and disappointments of normal life, and the moments of grace and kindness we are gifted in response.”

The Bexley Community Author Series is made possible by the generous donations of individuals and businesses to the Bexley Public Library Community Author Series Fund at the Bexley Community Foundation.
