Make a dreamcatcher with Anna and learn how to begin interpreting your own dreams with Jenna!
Art With Anna and Jenna Long, Reflexology & Holistic Health are committed to education, play, and self-expression through safe, open, and inclusive workshops & events.
As non-Native Americans, Anna and Jenna are sensitive to the idea of cultural and spiritual appropriation as it pertains to creating dream catchers. Because we live in a world where our collective consciousness is shifting to open everyone up to new levels of awareness and oneness, it is our intention to honor both the ancient cultures that dream catchers were born out of, and the new human story of collaboration and connectedness unfolding through all of us now.
The focus of this workshop will be on our dream life and how to cultivate the symbols and meanings of what comes to us when we sleep using methods of self-analysis from a Jungian perspective, and we also realize that the hot topic issues of appropriation and cultural sensitivity cannot be ignored when it comes to the craft portion of the workshop. Participants will be given the option to either opt out of making any craft at all, or they are welcome use the event provided supplies to make a totally unique creation on their own. With deep respect and in support of the voices and the work of our Native American brothers and sisters, a portion of all tickets sales for this event will be donated to Redhawk Native American Arts Council (https://redhawkcouncil.org/).
