The North Market Farmers' Market is one of the oldest and largest in Central Ohio, featuring more than 20 farmers offering an array of locally-grown fruits, vegetables, flowers, plants, honey and herbs. Every Saturday throughout the growing season, Ohio farmers bring their fresh-picked produce to North Market, where customers are able to purchase directly from the local farms selling the highest-quality products from their fields.
Here are the farms that will be onsite Saturday, August 19:
Anderson Orchard – Assorted unusual and exotic plants, Asian pear butter and zucchini bread. Freshly-cut flowers including hydrangeas, crocosmia, cosmos, mixed bouquets, zinnias, Oriental lilies, gladiolus and sunflowers. A variety of vegetables including tomatoes, cucumbers, okra, zucchini, leeks and cherry tomatoes.
Boline Apothecary – Herbal remedies, herbal body care and herbal tonics.
Box O’ Heat — Logs to use as starters in fire pits or fireplaces, all made from 100% natural and recycled materials, packaged to go in cleverly-themed boxes.
Glenn Avenue Soap – Natural foaming hand soaps, locally-sourced beer soaps labeled to feature the brewery, cold-pressed bar soaps, body butters, lotions, facial care items and a complete line of children’s products.
Great Oak Growers – Microgreens can be purchased in large or small amounts. Varieties include sunflower, pea, radish and salad mixes. Also available, fresh herbs, starter plants and heirloom tomatoes.
Harriet Gardens — Kale, collards, arugula, chard, lettuce, tomatoes and foraged edibles, such as purslane.
Honeyrun Farms – Locally-sourced honey, infused/comb/chunk honey, lip balms, salves, handcrafted soaps, honey sticks and beeswax candles.
Jorgensen Farms – Prepared and packaged to go squash salad, gazpacho, lavender honey, eggplant, tomatoes, jalapenos, cut wildflowers and garlic.
Persinger Farms – Kale, collards, broccoli, new potatoes, tomatoes, okra, sweet onions, cabbage, squash, zucchini, peppers, sweet corn, watermelon, green beans and beets.
Pet Wants North – Fresh, high-quality dog & cat food, treats and pet care products.
Pristine Valley Farm – Assorted greens, maple syrup, onions, kale, spinach, dill, mustard greens, okra, pickles, peppers, garlic, squash, zucchini, broccoli, beets, sweet corn, tomatoes, including cherry tomatoes, cabbage, eggplant, potatoes, ground cherries, both yellow and green beans.
Procter Center – Pasture-raised GMO-free chicken, as well as assorted vegetables, including radishes, cucumbers, eggplant, zucchini, yellow squash, lettuce, tomatoes, okra, peppers, green beans, carrots, potatoes and as many as 10 varieties of cut herbs.
Quiver Full Family Farm – New potatoes, popcorn, granola, honey, eggs, blackberries, heirloom tomatoes, homemade blackberry and strawberry jam.
The Compost Exchange — A food waste recycling service. Sign up and learn about drop-off locations. Food waste will be given to local urban farms to make healthy, soil-enriching compost.
Thomas Family Orchard – Seedless grapes, fresh peaches, purple plums, as well as Ginger Gold, Gala, Zestar, Jonathan, McIntosh, and Honey Crisp apples.
Tiger Mushroom Farms – Fresh shiitake mushrooms, gray, pink and yellow oyster mushrooms, as well as oyster mushroom kits.
Wishwell Farms – Tomatoes, maple syrup, homemade salsas and relishes, zucchini, garlic, green beans, cucumbers, cantaloupe, watermelon, bell peppers, eggplant, candy onions and sweet corn.
