Join us for the Gahanna History Bike Tour
presented by Premier Periodontics and the Gahanna Bicycle and Trail Advisory Committee (BTAC) volunteer, Tricia Kovacs
• Who was Harry Bauer? Why is the island at Creekside named after him?
• Which Olde Gahanna church has Tiffany windows?
• What’s the story of the extraterrestrial object marking the grave of Frederick Wolf at Mifflin Cemetery?
• When were beauty contests held at the current site of Friendship Park?
Join us on a bike ride to find the answers to these questions.
The bike route will visit several historical places in Gahanna, including the Shull Log House, which will be open to visitors during the afternoon.
The distance is 10 miles on the Big Walnut Trail and on-street bike routes.
The ride is free of charge; voluntary donations to the Gahanna Historical Society will be accepted.
Ride starts promptly at 1PM.
Free helmets available to children while supplies last. Our sponsor, Dr. Rupa Hamal, will provide a snack for participants. Children age 14 and under must be accompanied by an adult, and older children (age 15-17) must have a parent or guardian available to sign a permission release.
