AUDITION CALL FOR MY FAIR LADY (starring Cabot Rea)
Produced by Northland Performing Arts Center (NPAC) in conjunction with Vaud-Villities and Imagine Productions. Non-equity with modest stipend:
• Auditions (only Henry Higgins is pre-cast): 7-10pm, June 25 and 26, 2017 for all roles. To sign up visit:

Auditions and callbacks will be held at NPAC (Northland Performing Arts Center, 4411 Tamarack Blvd, Columbus, OH 43229 (next to the Morse Rd. Menards).
Prepare 16 to 32 bars from a song in the style of the show and bring sheet music (no contemporary/pop songs, please). Bring a calendar to list all conflicts. Bring headshot and resume (a snapshot is fine).
Rehearsals begin July 16 and will be held Sunday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday evenings from 6:30-9:30pm (with no rehearsal on Sunday, September 3). The week of Labor Day and tech week, rehearsals will go until 10:00pm.

My Fair Lady tells the story of flower girl Eliza Doolittle, who takes speech lessons from phoneticist Henry Higgins so that she may become a lady. Winner of numerous Tony Awards and Academy Awards, My Fair Lady has been called «the perfect musical» by critics and theatre historians.
Eliza Doolittle: (21-35) Cockney flower girl. Bold, gutsy and proud. Knows what she wants. Transforms into a lady. Very strong singer/actress. Comfortable with cockney and RP dialect. Legit Soprano with a strong mix.
Henry Higgins: (Cabot Rea is PRECAST in this role).
Alfred P. Doolittle: (40-70) Character man. He is an opportunist. Eliza’s father, who is fun loving, wise cracking and proud. He is quite a drinker. A Strong actor who sings well. Comfortable with cockney dialect. Baritone.
Colonel Pickering (50-70) Retired British officer with colonial experience. Linguist and friend of Higgins. He is a true gentleman. Strong actor comfortable with RP dialect. Baritone.
Freddy Eynsford-Hill (20-30) Upper-class young man who becomes completely smitten with Eliza. Could be all body types. Comfortable with RP dialect. Legit Tenor.
Mrs. Higgins (60+) Professor Higgins' mother. She is self-assured, wealthy, and elegant. She loves her son but also recognizes that he needs someone to put him down a bit. Takes kindly to Eliza. Comfortable with RP dialect. Non-singing role.
Mrs. Pearce (40-60) Professor Higgins housekeeper. She is no-nonsense and motherly. She has affection for Eliza. Comfortable with RP dialect. Mezzo-soprano.
Harry (20-50) Drinking buddy of Doolittle. Comfortable with cockney dialect. Baritone
Jamie (20-50) Drinking buddy of Doolittle. Comfortable with cockney dialect. Tenor
