The June Central Ohio Democratic Women's Caucus meeting will focus on the state of human trafficking on Monday, June 19 at 5:30 p.m. at the Ohio Democratic Party located at 340 E. Fulton Street, Columbus, Ohio 43215.
-Ohio Teresa Fedor, 45th House District of Ohio, who has been raising attention to the issue of human trafficking and is working on legislation to help victims here in Ohio.
-Michelle Hannan, MSW, LISW-S, Anti-Human Trafficking Program Director and Divisional Director of Social Services at the Salvation Army
-Courtney Schmackers, Development Director for She Has A Name. Courtney helps to activate individuals and organizations with the abolitionist movement in meaningful ways.
-Brooke Pollard with Gracehaven, a faith based, Columbus organization founded to care for the victims of domestic minor sex trafficking.
We are excited to host special guest, Congresswoman Joyce Beatty to the event. Representative Beatty has experience with anti-human trafficking legislation at the federal level and will be speaking on her perspective and experience.
