Yoga on High Teacher Training and Ayurveda Institute
1020 Dennison Ave., Columbus, Ohio 43201
There are many benefits to meditation, some documented by modern science. They range from changes to brain structure (for the better) to inner peace, health and spiritual awakening. But meditation is hard to do, particularly without guidance. Over six months of study and practice, this course offers you a solid conceptual basis for different approaches to meditation—time enough to learn and practice various techniques as a group, receiving support from one another. You will learn multiple practical approaches to silent and guided meditation practices, so that you can develop a personal practice suited to you. You will also learn to teach meditation to beginners. Jasmine Grace, and guest faculty will lead three in-person workshops and bi-monthly phone conferences.

Basics of teaching meditation to beginners
Throughout the workshop weekends you will practice meditation techniques including body scans, chanting and japa meditations, mindfulness meditations, creative visualization, chakra meditations, yoga nidra, pranayama practices, tantric meditations and more. You will also have an opportunity to practice teaching meditation to your peers and to get feedback. On the final weekend you will present a 20 minute meditation for beginners.
Throughout the course you will have ample time for questions and answers, and to talk about your experiences.
In addition to the many types of meditation you will learn during this teacher training Jasmine Grace and Dandapani will share a simple concentration meditation for your daily home practice to help you cultivate and prepare your mind for deeper states of meditation.
Weaved throughout these weekends will be guest teachers, experts within their disciplines, including Marcia Miller, Michele Vinbury, Linda Oshins, Holly Moretti & Dandapani.
Days & Times: Calls will be held twice a month. Choose from Thursdays 12:30p-1:30p and Sundays 7:30p to 8:30p
Every two weeks throughout the course, your group will meet together on a conference call. During the calls you will do specific meditation practices together as outlined in the curriculum and have time to discuss how to teach the practices. This is the time to bring all your questions to the group and to be able to share your experiences in meditation together.
